I shared a look at Cohen’s first nursery here a few weeks ago, and since we’re nearing the end of our renovation (YES!) I’ve been planning a new & improved version of that space. I love the main ingredients from nursery one, but I decided to give the room extra personality with a few additions.
Since I want the elements of this space to last, I chose neutral pieces that will translate well into toddler years and beyond. The biggest investment is the wool rug from West Elm – I shopped around for a budget-friendly option, but I couldn’t find anything that tied the room together as perfectly as this one! I like to think I balanced that purchase with this chandelier on sale at Pottery Barn Kids; the wooden beads bring texture and warmth to the space, and I was able to track down a floor model for an extra discount. The beachy lighting turned out to be the perfect compliment to a photo taken during our first family vacation in Cabo San Lucas this year; printing it as wall art gives his new nursery a sentimental touch. To finish things off, I’m adding baby-friendly blackout curtains from UO that are trimmed with a fun pompom detail. I can’t wait to see it all come together!
