It’s hard to believe my sweet rascal Cohen turned 1 a few weeks ago! We decided to throw a little pumpkin themed first birthday party to celebrate our Autumn baby, filling the house with crates, cozy sheepskins, twinkle lights, birch, and of course, pumpkins! I wondered if it would turn out to be one of those baby-centered events that everyone else enjoys more than the baby themselves, but he actually had a blast, especially when it came to demolishing his cake. Seriously, he didn’t sleep for days after all the sugar he had. I can’t blame him, my sister of Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe made the most amazing chocolate cake for him. It matched our rustic theme, done in chocolate and with a naked icing finish. She topped it with an adorable “1” sugar cookie finished with silver paint splatters – almost too dreamy to eat! The whole afternoon was the perfect way to celebrate the funniest, sweetest, and most loving little boy and all he’s brought to our lives this past year. A closer look and all sources (if I missed any, please ask away in the comments!) are linked up below. Happy birthday Cohen, we love you SO!
