Life lately has been all about winding down from summertime living and prepping for fall’s arrival. There’s been slow and steady home decor process, some new pieces to help me transition my wardrobe for the coming season, and a quick weekend trip to get away from it all. Cozy up with a cup of coffee and scroll down for more!
One of my favourite things to do lately is spend a lazy afternoon playing together with Cohen in his nursery. This cozy West Elm rug makes it that much better!
We spent this past weekend visiting friends in Toronto, and wound up at Sugar beach Saturday afternoon. Between the name and the pink umbrellas, I’m thinking this may be my favourite summertime spot in the city!
Another snap from our weekend; this little babe was a total dream! Between the 4 hour turned 6 hour drive (thanks Toronto traffic!), to trekking around the city, and kicking off bedtime in his stroller while we were out for dinner, he was such a trooper!
I still haven’t found the perfect chairs for our dining room, but in the meantime this West elm rug (old, similar here) is making the room seem slightly more put together. Although, I don’t think Quentin is sold on it!
One area of our house that is making serious progress is my dressing room. I’m just a few pieces away from having it completely finished and being able to share it with you!
I’m slowly mixing autumn pieces into my summer wardrobe, including this boyfriend fit plaid shirt (with short sleeves!) that I picked up for under $20!
I’m a creature of habit and normally stick to roses when buying blooms, but I couldn’t pass up the prettiest carnations I’d ever seen!
My sister is the talent behind Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe, and taking her Instagram photos has serious perks – like being the first to sample her Lucky Charms and Cocoa Pebble macarons!
Another way I’m transitioning my summer wardrobe to fall is by adding this cashmere cardigan to my summer dresses; around the waist or over the shoulders, it’s perfect for layering up!
My hair takes FOREVER to blow dry, and majority of the time I just leave it to air dry overnight. Turns out bedhead doesn’t look too bad braided!
