Lately I feel like I’m actually winning when it comes to shopping for my boys. I don’t feel like I need to jump online and place a massive order every month because they’re suddenly “out” of clothes. I’ve been happy with each little piece that’s arriving in the mail (Everything comes in the mail. Seriously how is it worth it to shop in stores when you have little kids? Just how?) and I haven’t felt buyer’s remorse in like months. I’ll never stop loving a good Zara haul or all the basics from H&M, but I decided to focus on making sure the boys have just about a week’s worth of outfits (plus pajamas and your usual extras – socks, onesies, etc). Luckily small shops are killing it with the cutest stuff right now. And the quality (at least in my experience!) has always been so good that it holds up to the regular washing that happens when you downsize wardrobes.
Since I will literally never turn down the opportunity to put my kids in matchy outfits while they still let me, these Goat Milk NYC pieces are basically kidware gold. Because you can’t go wrong with stripes, just can’t. Cohen’s wearing the pajama pants and a long sleeve top that doubles for day if I get behind on laundry (when I get behind on laundry, every single day). Crew has their baby diaper cover on and matching thermal top. I’ve been pairing the diaper cover with pretty much anything – tees, tanks, no top at all because laundry problems again – and it’s cute AF every time. The pieces together have been working out perfect for chilly summer nights, and he’ll still get some wear out of the long sleeve in the Fall since we sized up.
The last of the need to know details – Goat Milk NYC’s piece are all 100% Organic Cotton, ethically made, and they offer free shipping on orders over $35. If you’re stuck on where to find kids underwear and socks that are simple (read no wild colours or designs) but high quality, they totally nail it in that department too.
