Dinner parties can be daunting; food prep aside, you want to have a beautiful place to eat it once your guests are gathered. Today I’m sharing tips that make the task of setting the table something to look celebrate! I’ve teamed up with Coulter’s Furniture to style their new Loft collection pieces into an Insta-worthy tablescape.  Keeping in mind a few simple guidelines makes it easy to throw together a dinner party setting that will wow guests. Layers Like any great outfit, layering linens and dishware gives your table a more complete feel. I couldn’t bring myself to cover up the texture of this gorgeous dining table, so I added interest with stacks of coordinating dishes instead.

Front and Center The centerpiece is an obvious place to start for a wow factor. Since this dinner party was loft inspired, I created an urban industrial feel with distressed oil-rubbed bronze candlesticks and potted succulents for a little life. Mood lighting never hurts, so along with candles on the table I also added twinkle lights for an extra festive touch.

Personal Details Name tags eliminate the “Where do I sit?” dilemma, and act as a thoughtful addition to your table. These were so simple; a little card stock, a gold pen and twine were all I needed to make each place setting special.

Favors for all Remember how exciting it was to get a favor at the end of a party when you were a kid? Macarons were my treat of choice in this case, but mini bottles of champagne are another guaranteed winner.
