Although Valentine’s Day is typically thought of as an occasion to celebrate romantic love, I think it’s the perfect occasion to honor the ladies in our lives. Any holiday full of pink, sweets, and champagne is practically begging for a girls-only gathering! This Valentine’s Day Brunch I styled along with Shelby’s Sweet Shoppe and her adorable baked goods is full of hosting inspiration. All the details are below…
Together, we decided on blush pink and sparkling gold for our colour scheme. For quick and easy decor, we created gold splattered balloons and picked up a dozen white roses; the gold sequin tablecloth pulled all of our details together. The brunch buffet consisted of classic buttermilk pancakes, cinnamon bun donuts, mini sprinkled donuts, vanilla cupcakes, pavlovas and raspberry macarons. To drink, I prepared a strawberry champagne cocktail that warranted it’s own bar cart set up, as well as strawberry lemonade, and of course – an abundance of coffee. My favorite details were the adorable mini donuts atop glasses of milk, as well as the pink Kate Spade prints I swapped in place of my usual art to add an extra festive touch.
Stay tuned to the blog for the recipes for classic buttermilk pancakes and my strawberry champagne cocktail. In the meantime, share your favorite way to celebrate the season in the comment section!
