We’re less than a month away from taking possession of our new place, which means the renovation plans are officially underway! With intentions to completely gut the kitchen and master bath, the list of decisions my husband and I need to make is a bit daunting. I used the house’s existing dark chestnut floors and my love of all things bright and white as a starting point. I knew that this contrast, paired with greys and chrome fixtures, was my ideal colour scheme for our new home. You can see it at work in this bathroom mood board. I love the clean look of the glossy subway tile and crisp white towels. The wall mounted vanity also gives off an airy vibe, while adding a touch of warmth thanks to its wooden base. A porcelain grey tile on the floors and a pewter linen shower curtain play well with the chrome accessories, and keep the look from being too stark. I paired modern elements (such as the wall mounted vanity and circular mirror) with more traditional looking fixtures (like this shower head) in order to create a space that feels at once streamlined and welcoming. The sconces add a little extra sparkle and make the whole space feel special. I can’t wait to see it come to life!
