I would never suggest that one give up an afternoon caffeine habit altogether – midday lattes for all! – but in the spirit of health, I have been adopting a new strategy lately. Green juice has been giving me the same pick me up as my usual coffee fix, with the added bonus of health and beauty benefits (skin glow!). And so naturally, I felt compelled to share this super simple and tasty recipe with you.
Pineapple-Grapefruit Green Juice
1 cup pineapple
1 cup fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice
1 cup kale
Throw all items into your juicer/blender/Vitamix on high. If using a blender or Vitamix, you can strain the liquid through cheesecloth to achieve true juice consistency.
